The Hanie Journey - how it all began
I’m Stephanie, the founder of Hanie Collective. The name
"Hanie" comes from the last five letters of my own name, a personal
reminder of the journey I embarked upon to make a difference.
The idea for Hanie Collective began in an unexpected way—while searching for business ideas online, I came across a video of a Korean mother making beeswax food wraps at home. I was struck by the simplicity and brilliance of the idea: a long-forgotten, eco-friendly alternative to plastic cling wraps and bags. I knew instantly this was a purposeful business I wanted to create.
I’ve always been aware of the devastating impact plastic has on our planet—its harm to humans, animals, and the environment. I wanted to
do something meaningful, something that would help protect our beautiful Earth.
I deeply believe that the more we care for our environment, the more we are caring for ourselves, our communities, and future generations. It became clear that the solution was to offer products that are not only good for us but also kind to the planet.
Thus, Hanie Collective was born with the mission of reducing plastic pollution by providing eco-friendly, sustainable products free from plastic ingredients and packaging. From our handmade beeswax food wraps to our natural skincare line, every product is crafted with the goal of making it easier for people to make sustainable choices in their everyday lives.
