How do I clean Hanie beeswax food wrap?
Handwash in COLD water for the longest lifespan. Use with eco-friendly soap only there are food scraps sticking on your wrap. Then, air dry it by draping over a drying rack or a clothesline. For immediate use, dry with a towel and reuse. If unsoiled, simply rinse and hang dry. Stay away from the sun and heat.
How do I store Hanie beeswax food wrap?
Store it in a clean, cool and dry place such as the kitchen drawer. You can roll your Hanie beeswax food wrap into tubes, fold or lay them flat in a basket or a container; place at a corner of your kitchen counter, or in the fridge (safest storage method for hot climate countries).
How long does Hanie beeswax food wrap last?
With regular use and proper care, Hanie beeswax food wrap lasts for about a year. It is time to replace it with a new wrap, or revive it with Hanie refresher bar when it is no longer adhesive, or the wax coating has worn off.

Can I use Hanie beeswax food wrap in the refrigerator?
Yes, Hanie beeswax food wraps can be used in the refrigerator, freezer or at room temperature.
Can I use Hanie beeswax food wrap in the freezer?
Yes, you can. We recommend a maximum duration of one month for keeping food with Hanie beeswax food wrap in the freezer.
Does Hanie beeswax food wrap hold on to strong smells?
Not typically. Our formula of ingredients act as a natural barrier that protects food with strong smell like ginger and onion from penetrating into the fabric of the wrap, while letting the food breathe.
Can I use Hanie beeswax food wrap for meat?
We do not recommend wrapping raw meat or seafood with beeswax food wraps due to hygiene reasons.
Can I cut my Hanie beeswax food wrap?
We do not recommend cutting Hanie beeswax food wraps. Cutting the wraps may chip off the wax along the edges. Hanie beeswax wrap doesn't have to be the perfect size, you can always over-wrap an item and it still work perfectly.
How do I clean my sticky/waxy hands after using Hanie beeswax wrap?
The most effective way the founder finds is to rub your hands with an eco-friendly soap bar for 20 seconds, then rinse with water while rubbing both hands together.
What do I do if there is mold on my Hanie beeswax food wrap?
Lightly scrub with a gentle cloth, eco-friendly soap and in cold water. If it has left behind a stain and cannot be washed away, we recommend replacing the wrap.
Mold typically grows in more humid environments or if a food is beyond saving. Start thinking about these questions:
1. How long was the food stored in Hanie beeswax food wrap?
2. How old is your Hanie beeswax food wrap? Is it in good condition?
3. Was the food kept in moist part of the fridge?
Why does the wax on my wrap crumble?
This is usually the result of an accidental wash in warm or hot water. It could also be a sign that your wrap is approaching the end of its life.
Why doesn't my beeswax wrap seal?
Remember the first of four steps of using a beeswax wrap - WARM your beeswax wrap with the warmth of your hands to "activate" the stickiness of the wrap before wrapping an item.
If the above is not working, do check if:
- the wrap has been placed near a heat source, or
- if you have been using the wrap for a period of time.

Why isn't my food staying fresh in Hanie beeswax food wrap?
It depends on several factors: how long was the food when it was purchased? How long has it been stored in the fridge? Where is it being stored in the fridge?
If your beeswax food wrap isn't keeping food as fresh as it once was, it is often due to
1) The wrap is reaching the end of its life. Replacing it with a new Hanie beeswax food wrap or reviving it with Hanie refresher bar will do.
2) The food wrap has been washed in warm or hot water. Only COLD water can keep the wrap to its longest lifespan.
